Hello, and thanks for coming over to check out my blog.  I started this blog as a challenge to myself to become more vocal about my faith, and about my struggles to grow in it.  Sometimes it is hard to reconcile faith with real-world living (feel free to debate that).

As I work through the comedy and tragedy of life, I hope to use this platform as a place for reflection and inspiration.

This blog is a venue for my writing. I have always enjoyed it, so I thought I would add it to my hobbies. Just before I started it I began to use the internet to help me in my Christian walk – I had recently subscribed to a daily prayer list and a bible verse email, and I can view them in my morning mail at work. So while my blog is not completely filled with Christian lessons, it is about my walk in life as a Christian who knows she needs and wants to become more faithful. I hope I can inspire just one person to write their own story and include Christ in it. My quote on my blog tells you more, “The life of every man is a diary in which he means to write one story, and writes another.” – author James Matthew Barrie

I am a mom of four, who after years of being home with the children, is now working full-time outside of my home.  I love my job, the people I work with, and the adventures of working with grown-ups.  I also have lots of interests, but one of my strongest is how to better public education (because not everyone has the privilege or patience to home school).  I also have lots of opinions on child-rearing – I am a huge proponent of active engagement, which sounds simple, but requires a strong will on the part of the parents (because of course, we all know that most children have no problems when it comes to exerting their own will upon the parents!).

Some of my hobbies include hiking, gardening, and painting, & sculpting. I have also recently discovered a love of sewing and scrap booking (with digital and actual papers).

Please feel free to share your thoughts and comment on my posts.
